Thank goodness for digital payment solutions, simple tasks such as those are accomplished without too much fuss as a few taps on the screen.

Working mom and president of social enterprise Rags2Riches, Reese Fernandez-Ruiz embraces products and services that let her “do my thing” while they efficiently work in the background, such as the new ING Pay, ING Philippines’ new payment account.

A bank account, approved and supervised by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, ING Pay lets customers make everyday payments and transactions digitally anywhere they may be.

Anyone can open an ING Pay, even those with no ING Save account. Just simply download the ING mobile app through the iOS App Store or Google Play Store, and select “Open an ING Pay Account.” However, opening an ING Save account is also recommended to “take advantage of its features, such as high interest rates.”

“With ING, I can do my thing because the important tools that I need to run and sustain my enterprise are on my phone,” said Fernandez-Ruiz.

The social entrepreneur added that it has made her life easier as a mother and entrepreneur while working from home.

“I can simply open my ING app, InstaPay Transfer payments to our suppliers and artisans, with an adjustable daily transfer limit,” shared Fernandez-Ruiz.

Celebrity chef Sau Del Rosario likewise takes advantage of digital solutions to pursue his passions.

“Being able to pay my bills via the ING app means I can spend more time in cooking for our modern heroes, serving the Filipinos, and taking care of my business,” said Chef Sau.

To fund the account, users can transfer cash via PESONet or InstaPay, deposit a check directly to their account via the mobile app, or transfer funds from ING Save to ING Pay for free.

“The launch of ING Pay further demonstrates our commitment to empower customers as they look for a safer and more efficient way to make payments and transactions in the midst of the pandemic,” said ING Philippines country manager Hans Sicat.

Customers can pay to more than 70 pre-enrolled billers and merchants (including major utilities, credit cards, insurance, and telecommunication companies), transfer money to other third-party bank accounts, and use their virtual Visa debit card via the mobile app. A physical debit card will be available soon.

“We offer every ING Pay customer a free virtual debit card where the details are only accessible via the ING mobile app, so they do not have to worry about card details falling into the wrong hands. ING Pay customers can also freeze or unfreeze their card in one tap via the ING mobile app when they need to secure it,” said head of retail Mohamed Keraine.
