Globally recognized physician Dr. Joel Lopez, known as one of the first doctors to incorporate Functional Medicine in his practice, has recently opened his clinic in Makati.
The clinic offers Dr. Lopez’s expertise in diverse medical specializations such as Biological Medicine, Preventative Medicine, Age Management Medicine, Regenerative Medicine, and holistic treatments of Chronic Degenerative Diseases and age-related disorders.
Born and raised in Manila, he started his medicinal journey in Far Eastern University and later on pursued his Internal Medicine Residency training in the University of Illinois, Chicago. Right after his studies, he immediately worked as a physician in Alabama, Florida, and Indiana, USA.
Dr. Lopez currently has an office in San Francisco, California. He continues to pursue his goal of helping and educating more people about the science of holistic medicine, today with J. Lopez, M.D. Medical Group Inc.
The group consists of professionals with concrete medical foundation who aim to transform the lives of their patients for the better. Dr. Lopez’s Philippine clinic in Centuria, Makati offers the latest treatments and services that help improve patients’ well-being.
“Based on statistics, 25 percent of healthcare is spent during the last years of a person’s life. So, it’s better if we spend this money on preventing illnesses and having a greater quality of life,” said Dr. Lopez.
According to him, he uses a more personal approach to his patients, “my belief is that everybody is different, so my approach on one individual will be different from another.”
Dr. Lopez is an active member of the Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, American College for Advancement in Medicine, American Institute of Functional Medicine, Society for the Advancement of Hormones and Healthy Aging Malaysia, American Academy of Ozone Therapy, and the Orthomolecular Health Medicine Society.
