Save Animals of Love And Light (Save ALL), a non-government, non-profit animal welfare group, recently partnered with GCash through its corporate social responsibility arm GCash For Good.
Globe Fintech Innovations, Inc. (Mynt), which operates GCash, launched GCash for Good at One Canvas, Makati where it formally welcomed Save ALL and other non-government organizations (NGOs) to the GCash family.
GCash for Good aims to help NGOs that address environmental, humanitarian, animal welfare, and other social issues by enabling GCash users to send donations via the GCash platform or application.
Likewise, it aims to create a community where doing good and giving back is open to all.
“We have always strived to build a better financial ecosystem in the Philippines, and as a socially responsible corporate citizen, we want to leverage on our strength as a digital platform to help others create a better country moving forward,” Mynt president Anthony Thomas said.
GCash is aware of the current preference of most Filipinos to donate online, as this removes the challenges of long queues and processes.
With GCash for Good, users will have the convenience of donating to their chosen organizations and foundations and will have direct access and transparency regarding where their donations go.
“Our purpose for creating GCash for Good lies in our ardent desire to encourage generosity among Filipinos. We want more opportunities to allow people to and give back to the communities,” Thomas said.
Through its partnership with GCash for Good, Save ALL supporters will soon be able to send their donations hassle-free through the GCash app.
