Former Health Secretary Jaime Galvez Tan is endorsing an “amazing” supplement for diabetics dubbed as BioHerb.
“We have an amazing food supplement that is packed with leaf extracts of four plants known to be most effective in lowering sugar level. People in the countryside and mountains eat these plants and they live longer,” he said.
According to Tan, BioHerb is not designed to replace diabetics’ daily maintenance medicine.

Tan said those who are not diabetic may also take a tablet of BioHerb daily after meal.
It helps lower the level of cholesterol and triglyceride, enhances insulin secretion, reduces glycogenesis, inhibits absorption of carbohydrates from the intestines, and lowers blood pressure.
BioHerb is approved by the Food and Drug Administration and is manufactured by Filipino-owned firm La Croesus Pharma Inc.
