The SM Mall of Asia welcomed the Year of the Pig with a Lunar Parade featuring bright lanterns and delightful Chinese characters.

The three colorful floats—The Year of the Pig Float, The Lotus Float, and the SM Mall of Asia float—went around the mall to bring good luck and good cheer to mall-goers.

The event also featured cultural performances from different Chinese Schools including Chiang Kai Shek College, Philippine Sun Yat Sen High School, Xavier School, Hope Christian School, Tiong Se Academy, Makati Hope Christian School, Ateneo Confucious Institute, Philippine Hua Academy, and Saint Jude Catholic School.

SM Mall of Asia’s Lunar Parade featured traditional dragon and lion dances. 

Dragon and lion dances, both symbols of power, wisdom, and good fortune completed the Chinese New Year tableaux, chasing away evil spirits and bringing happiness, longevity, and good luck.
