My Furry Bestie

This corner features pets of animal lovers every week. We hope new owners and those thinking of getting a pet will be encouraged to be responsible “furparents” through these features. We also hope more people will be moved to be kind to animals when they read about the great relationship that can be created between humans and animals.

For contributions, please email to daycarlos28@yahoo.com and put My Furry Bestie as subject.

MIMING (left) and MILKY are two of Janelle Manalang’s six (6) cats, two of whom are rescued puspins or Pusang Pinoy.

Janelle loves to take care of pets. Since she was a kid, she has been helping dogs and cats.  She even rescues stray cats and dogs.

“With breed or without breed, I have an equal love for them.  I treat my furbabies like my own child since wala pa ako baby due to my PCOS. If only I can adopt all those poor little cats and dogs from the streets. But I have space and fund limitations.  After  take care of them and making them well, I have them adopted by a very loving human.”

HANNAH is one of the many wonderful furkids of Eleanor Agulto.

“Sometimes, Hannah is too smart for her own good. A superb escape artist, this mischief-maker would find ingenious ways to sneak out of the gate and into the street, Eleanor says.

She adds, “When she was younger, she was captured by a dog catcher and I had to bail her out of the pound. Hannah is eight (8) years old now and age has made her more mellow.”

“Nowadays, she prefers to hang out in the garage than on the road. What a relief! I love this girl and I want her to always be safe. “Eleanor says.
