The instant coffee for diabetics

Diabetics think that one of the pleasures they have to give up is a hot drink of deliciously sweet coffee. That is not the case anymore, because there is Kaffea coffee.

Kaffea with coconut sugar helps regulate blood sugar levels and blood pressure. It promotes a healthy digestive system, burns excess fat with L-Carnitine, and contains vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients.

“Naisipan ko nang magkape noong makita ko ang Kaffea, kasi nga diabetic ako at medyo mataas ang cholesterol ko. Nagustuhan ko ang Kaffea dahil sabi nga sa akin [it’s made with] coconut sugar. According to my research, mas maganda naman ang coconut sugar than the usual kind of sugar na mabibili mo sa supermarket,” related Thaddeus “Noy” Querubin, department manager of corporate planning and MIS department of the Philippine Reclamation Authority.

Thaddeus Querubin, department manager of corporate planning and MIS department at the Philippine Reclamation Authority, starts his day by reading his favorite newspaper and drinking a cup of Kaffea.

Kaffea is formulated with a non-dairy creamer for those who are lactose intolerant. It’s also not acidic.

“Kapag Kaffea ang iniinom ko, hindi umaasim ang tiyan ko. ‘Pag Kaffea hindi siya sumasakit. Hindi siya nagkakaroon ng reaction sa tyan ko. Kaya kahit madalas ako uminom wala ako nararamdaman,” shared Querubin.

Querubin has been a regular Kaffea coffee drinker for almost two years now.

“May ibang kape sa bahay pero ako lang umiinom ng Kaffea. They reserve Kaffea for me, kasi nga hindi ako puwede doon sa ibang coffee na nabibili, like the 3-in-1 coffee variants.  Kahit iyong mga blended, hindi ako puwede. Pati iyong mga galing sa mga coffee shops, hindi pwede sa akin,” said Querubin.

Querubin asked around for coffee drinks that use coconut sugar, but, according to him, not even coffee shops use coconut sugar as a sweetener.

“Merong Muscovado which is very different from coconut sugar. So I instead chose Kaffea.”

Querubin recommends Kaffea to fellow diabetics especially those with high blood pressure. However, he still advises them to exercise regularly, eat a balanced diet, and get plenty of rest.

Recently, Querubin was surprised to learn that Kaffea also dramatically improves skin texture and elasticity with its collagen and glutathione ingredients.

“Hindi ko alam na may benefits sa skin,” he enthused. “Pero nung nagkita kami ng byenan ko after three months na hindi kami nagkikita, sabi niya sa akin kumikinis daw ako. Wala akong maisagot. Siguro Kaffea helped, dahil may glutathione at saka collagen.”

He continued, “I didn’t know that before. Ang alam ko lang coconut sugar siya. I just learned it also has other healthy ingredients that would benefit those who take it as well. Siguro ito ang dahilan bakit ako napansin ng byenan ko.”

Collagen in Kaffea strengthens muscles, tendons, and joints. It also tightens the skin which makes regular drinkers look well-nourished and glowing.

“Minsan ka-kwentuhan ko ang isa kong officemate. Sinabi niya mukhang bumabata ako. Pero other than Kaffea, ito lang naman ang bagong iniinom ko. Hindi ko naman masagot that I’m taking Kaffea which has other ingredients and benefits that are good for my skin. Hindi ko alam noon. Maganda pala ang Kaffea. Kaya siguro napansin ako,” he shared.

Kaffea is available at lazada.com.ph, beautymnl.com, SM Supermarket Market Street booths, SM Kultura outlets, Rustan’s, and CityMall GoLokal stores nationwide. Call (02) 477-9920 for inquiries.
