Where to get fried chicken as hot as Papa P

Andok’s, a homegrown food chain popular for its roasted chicken, has recently launched a hot and spicy version of its fried chicken variant.

The new Spicy Dokito boasts the same original flavor as the non-spicy variant, but made spicier and more flavorful, not with chili powder, but with real chili added to the marinade.

The term “Dokito” was derived from the nickname of Andok’s Litson Corporation president and chief executive Sandy M. Javier, Jr.’s father, Dokito, which means “young Andok.”

Coinciding with the launch of its spicy fried chicken variant, Andok’s introduced Piolo Pascual as its first brand ambassador, who, officials said, embodies the brand and Spicy Dokito’s “anghangkulit” experience.

In an interview with Manila Standard, Pascual expressed how grateful he was to be chosen by Andok’s as its first brand ambassador.
