A wellness destination that combines contemporary comforts with the charm and natural beauty of Negros Occidental’s city, Sipalay is opening its doors soon.

SWEET AND SANDY. Sugar Beach, the kilometer-long sugary brown beach in Sipalay City, Negros Occidental hemmed in by verdant hills and lush greenery.

Sipalay has been dubbed the Jewel of the Sugar Island for the elegance and beauty of the landscapes that cover the entire city.

It once lived through a four-decade-long mining economy which played a vital role in the transformation of Sipalay into a city. Today, it takes pride in its eco-rich resources that attract tourists to explore its expansive land and aqua terrain.

The soon-to-open Manami Resort in Sipalay City is the pioneering property of Discovery Hospitality Corporation’s Signature Collection. It will feature 18 lush villas and 12 suites.

The most famous of the “jewel’s” natural wonders are the 19 islets of Sambulawan. These lumps of land naturally float through the emerald green waters and mangrove trails. More clumps of islets together with limestone cliffs and pristine beaches are found in Campomanes Bay, a protected marine sanctuary home to one of the 43 dive sites in the city, S/S Panay.

Sipalay is also home to more than 60 caves – including Tibiongan Cave and Matlag Cave, both boast natural pools with dramatic limestone cliffs – as well as Huyop Huyop Falls and the 35-hectare Dul-ongan Mangrove Eco-park and Protected Area.

Adding to these worth-the-trip natural attractions is the soon to open Manami Resort. Built on the hillside right around the corner of Campomanes Bay, Manami is the pioneering property of Discovery Hospitality Corporation’s Signature Collection.

The Signature Collection is a portfolio of hotel and resort properties, each with its own style and personality. Manami’s personality? The property reflects the three distinct pillars that make living the Negrense lifestyle captivating: contemporary comforts, genuine touch-points, and warm people.

Sipalay City is home to many natural wonders including  Tibiongan Cave and Matlag Cave, the limestone cliffs in Campomanes Bay (shown here), Julien’s Wreck, and vast rice fields.

The resort will have 18 lush villas and 12 suites sitting on top of a massive slab of Earth stones. Surrounding the private corners are wide modern spaces bracing up environment sustainability, including walkways and trails, natural mise-en-scène, and wellness amenities such as spa and pools.

Tibiongan Cave and Matlag Cave,

Developers foresee Manami to become the next dreamy wedding destination, with elaborate flora and ravishing fauna as well as the pristine shorelines and green groves that surround the area.

While being in its organic environment is an advantage, experiences are still delivered with much thought – nature walks, meditation programs, and happy and healthy nutrition are just some of the comforts that guests can explore and enjoy.

Signature Collection properties are thoughtfully designed to offer Discovery’s signature brand of service to complement its unique character and brand DNA. Distinct characteristics set these properties’ marks – hotel story, regional flair, taste of culture, and memorable moments.
