Luxury resort Discovery Shores Boracay of Filipino-owned Discovery World Corporation (DWC) has been voted among the Top 25 Resorts in Asia for 2021 at the Readers’ Choice Awards of Conde Nast Traveler magazine.
The annual tourism survey reveals a list of the best of the best in the world in terms of hospitality, tourism, and travel destinations. More than 20,000 readers were asked to nominate the hotels and spas “they escape to … and the islands, cities, and countries that spark their curiosity”.
At the same time, Club Paradise Palawan has made it to the Top 100 Sustainable Stories of Green Destinations. DWC’s Coron resort is the only Philippine property on the list.
Green Destinations is a non-profit foundation for sustainable tourism that assess current tourism policy, management, and sustainability performance on relevant sustainability themes.
“We are deeply grateful for these international recognitions for both resorts,” enthused DWC president Jun Parreño.
“Our dedication for service and our commitment to our guests, the environment, and the community where we belong have been our driving force, especially during this very challenging time. We proudly carry the Philippine flag in all our wins and we are extremely delighted to be able to put the Philippines on the map of world-class tourism,” he added.
