Ivar Fojas, Kabataang Gitarista serenade online audience

Strumming the strings at on ongoing online concert are classical guitarists Ivar Fojas and the Kabataang Gitarista trio. 

As part of its Sunshine Classics concert series, Makati-based senior recreation center Sunshine Place presents the two acts on its YouTube channel from October 16 to 31.

A Fulbright scholar at University of Arizona of Doctoral Studies, Fojas had studied under Tom Patterson as well as Grammy Award winners David Russell and Sergio and Odair Assar.

The now teacher at the Philippine Women’s University School of Music Graduate School and De La Salle University Literature Department has been featured as a solo artist by the Tucson Cathedral Concert Series, The Arizona Friends of Chamber Music, and St. Ambrose Church. 

Fernando Sy-Changco III, David Tiongson, and Edel Mark Bitao comprise the Kabataang Gitarista trio, which is part of the Kabataang Gitarista (KG), a group of talented public high school students currently being trained in classical guitar.

The three-concert bundle rates of P650 for seniors and P950 for regular are valid until 12:00 p.m. on October 31. Once registered, an email will be sent to the registrant containing the program’s link which will be valid respective to the duration of each concert. They can access the concert video as many times as they want.
