Christmas came early to 84 children from the Reception and Study Center for Children Orphanage in Quezon City when members of the Senate Spouses Foundation, Inc. (SSFI) recently played Santa during Christmas in November, the group’s annual gift-giving event at The SM Store Megamall.

A joint project of SSFI and SM, the event—which began with lunch at Jollibee—was a day of fun for the kids many of whom experienced the joys of shopping for the first time. The spouses and their representatives took the kids around the department store to shop for clothes, shoes, toys, and more.

SSFI president Helen Gamboa-Sotto led the group of senate spouses which included Mila Drilon, Lani Mercado-Revilla, Audrey Zubiri, Tootsy Angara, Gladys Cruz, and Kathryna Yu-Pimentel.

Ciara Sotto and Gianna Revilla helped out their moms, while representatives of Senator Imee Marcos and Jinky Pacquiao also joined in the gift-giving. Mercado-Revilla took the kids around the store to shop during the yearly Christmas outreach program.

They then proceeded to Wendy’s for some snacks, and as a touching gesture, the kids sang a thank you Christmas carol before returning to the orphanage, spreading the spirit of sharing love and thanksgiving.
