Ayala Malls—the leading destination for shopping, entertainment and experiences—hosted a gathering of the country’s most dynamic YouTube creators at the YouTube Creators Meetup.  Held on March 5 at the Glorietta Activity Center, the special event allowed fans and audiences to get up close and personal with top YouTube creators.

Opening the show were performances by talented up-and-coming YouTube creators: pop singer Karl Zarate, acoustic trio The Three of Us, singer and ukulele artist Renee Dominique; as well as an electrifying performance by 5th Gen, a singing group composed of winners of World Championships of the Performing Arts.

Over 500 fans filled the venue, and they shared their delight in seeing, hearing, and finally meeting their favorite YouTube creators. Hosted by Justin Quirino, the YouTube Creators Meetup brought together creators from different genres, starting with makeup mavens Say Tioco, Kristine Roces, Ana Victorino, Anne Clutz, Michelle Dy, and Anna Cay; along with teen sweetheart Janina Vela. These lovely ladies shared snippets of their inspiring journeys and encouraged other aspiring creators to embrace their own styles and beauty.

Bringing their signature humor to the stage were Fil-Canadian comedian Mikey Bustos and local funny man Lloyd Cadena. Musical performers were also present – with appearances by Fil-American artist Gabe Bondoc, and Zendee, a Filipina singer who garnered online fame after her video singing a Whitney Houston hit went viral.

Making their way to Manila and joining the meetup were International YouTube creators – renowned Australian choreographer and dancer Jayden Rodrigues, and Malaysia’s lifestyle and fitness guru Joanna Soh

Ayala Malls is a keen advocate of innovation and creativity. Last year, Ayala Malls launched the YouTube Lounge in Glorietta, Greenbelt, Alabang Town Center, Market! Market!, TriNoma, and UP Town Center. The YouTube Lounges in Ayala Malls offer mall-goers a cozy nook where they can relax, sit back and watch their favorite YouTube videos. But more than a place to get their YouTube fix, the YouTube Lounges are venues where mall-goers/aspiring creators can explore the different ways to create, connect, and express themselves. Through the YouTube Lounge and initiatives like the YouTube Creator Roadshow, and YouTube Creators Meetup, Ayala Malls aims to further integrate the exciting digital lifestyles into the mall experience.

“We at Ayala Malls have always strived to give our patrons bigger, better and more exciting experiences,” shares Rowena Tomeldan, President of Ayala Malls. “Through these, Ayala Malls gives you more opportunities and avenues to celebrate the things that matter to you.”
