New York-based production designer Jenna Snyder recently held a comprehensive lecture on Designing for Performance: Current Trends and Innovations in Production Design at the School of Design and Arts (SDA) Theater of the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB).
Snyder, a Master of Fine Arts in Design and Production graduate at University of North Carolina School of the Arts, discussed the latest direction and design movements prevalent in modern theatrical projects, which ranges from Broadway and West End theaters, to community and school-based programs.
Benilde Senior Industry Fellow and award-winning art director Rodell Cruz elaborated on some design innovations in Philippine film and television, while Production Design Department Chair Emeritus and globally acclaimed director Gabriel Fernandez moderated the open forum.
