P-pop powerhouse SB19 is joining forces with acclaimed Filipino designer Francis Libiran for a one-night event that combines music and fashion.
On Sunday, Aug. 31, through its social media platforms, SB19 announced that the collaboration, titled Fast Zone, will be staged Oct. 26 at the Araneta Coliseum, coinciding with the group’s seventh debut anniversary.
“7 Years. One Zone. Now, a runway. In celebration of SB19’s 7th Year Anniversary and in collaboration with world-acclaimed Filipino Fashion Designer Francis Libiran,” the post read.
“FAST ZONE is a high-octane fashion & music experience that amplifies a premiere collection of couture, emerging as a new sonic of style in motion. Beyond trend. Beyond sound. Welcome to the ‘FAST ZONE,’” it added.
Teasers leading up to the announcement showed Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin dressed in Libiran’s tailored creations, posing in a dramatic set. In another post, Libiran himself was photographed wearing a cream suit that resembled a modern barong.
In a separate interview earlier this month, Libiran teased a “really big fashion show with a really popular P-pop group” and launched a casting call for what he described as an “unprecedented showcase.”
