Academics, industry professionals, and researchers in hospitality, tourism, management, and technology are set to gather for the 2nd Globe Summit: Global Leadership in Hospitality and Tourism Management from June 21 to 23 at the Radisson Resort and Suites in Phuket, Thailand.
The summit will feature discussions on challenges, best practices, and opportunities in the global hospitality and tourism sectors. Participants will have opportunities to engage with industry leaders, expand professional networks, and gain insights into emerging trends and research developments.
Sheryl “Sharima” R. Morales, an associate professor and campus director at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (Parañaque City Campus), chairs the summit. Dr. Syed Mahmood Ahmed of the International College of Management in Sydney and Dr. Alejandro D. Magnaye of Parañaque City College serve as co-chairs.
Dr. Yannakorn Toprayoon, chief executive of the Bangsomboon Subdistrict Administrative Organization in Thailand, is slated to deliver the keynote address. Other keynote speakers include Elmer Boydon Quintana of the Eulogio Amang Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology in the Philippines, Dr. Ahmad Albattat of the Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation in Malaysia, Dr. Rasheedul Haque of MAHSA University in Malaysia, and Dr. Seri Wongmontha of the University of Phayao in Thailand.
The event is organized by Academia ResearchLab and the GRAISI Foundation. Philippine institutions co-hosting the summit include Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University, STI West Negros University, Northwestern University, Central Philippines State University, The Rizal Memorial Colleges, Inc., Bulacan State University, Polytechnic University of the Philippines (Parañaque City Campus), Parañaque City College, Southern Luzon State University, St. Dominic College of Asia, and President Ramon Magsaysay State University. The Walchand Institute of Technology in India is also among the co-hosts.
