Emirates expands Asia network with new flightsto Shenzhen, Da Nang, Siem Reap

Dubai-based airline Emirates will expand its operations in Asia with new routes to Shenzhen in China, Da Nang in Vietnam, and Siem Reap in Cambodia.

Emirates will begin daily non-stop flights between Dubai and Shenzhen on July 1, making it the first Middle Eastern airline to operate daily services to the Chinese technology hub. The airline will also launch four weekly flights to Da Nang on June 2 and three weekly flights to Siem Reap on June 3, with both destinations linked via Bangkok.

The expansion increases Emirates’ footprint in East Asia to 24 destinations, with 269 flights per week from Dubai. Shenzhen will become the airline’s fourth gateway in mainland China, while Da Nang and Siem Reap will be its third and second destinations in Vietnam and Cambodia, respectively.

“Shenzhen opens new opportunities for business and trade, while our new services to Da Nang and Siem Reap enhance travel connectivity across Southeast Asia,” said Emirates Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer Adnan Kazim.

The airline said it would deploy its retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER aircraft on the Shenzhen route, featuring upgraded business class and premium economy cabins.

Emirates also operates cargo services from China, transporting 2,000 tonnes of goods per week. The Shenzhen route is expected to support exports of high-tech products and e-commerce shipments.

Flights to Da Nang and Siem Reap will operate with a Boeing 777-300ER in a two-class configuration. The services will provide connections to European and U.S. cities, the airline said.
