Blackbough Swim has raised $1,000 through its “Bambi’s Ballet” campaign, supporting conservation efforts for the Philippine Spotted Deer.

In partnership with a local NGO, this initiative focuses on maintaining an enclosure for the critically endangered deer species native to the rainforests of the Visayan Islands of Panay and Negros.

The pieces in the collection are designed by Filipino artist Inya De Vera

The international swimwear brand, based in the Philippines, announced that the funds will help preserve one of the world’s most threatened deer species, contributing to both habitat protection and population growth.

“We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported this cause through their purchases and donations. The Blackbough community’s dedication has made a significant impact on our shared mission to protect and conserve our natural heritage,” the brand said in a statement.

The collection takes inspiration from the rich Philippine fauna

The campaign featured the “Bambi’s Ballet” Collection, launched on June 3 in collaboration with Filipino artist Inya De Vera. Inspired by the vibrant fauna of the Philippines, the collection donated 15 percent of its net profits to the Talarak Foundation, which is committed to safeguarding the native wildlife of Negros Island, including the Visayan Spotted Deer highlighted in the collection’s designs.
