Local clothing brand QUIVER makes a big splash with its latest collection. From multicolored maxi cover-ups to sexy rompers to this season’s “IT” towel – they have it all.
“The three of us share a passionate affinity for water. When we first started our company Beachshack, Inc., the vision was to create a platform to promote the Quiver culture – the merry, laid-back beach lifestyle through the retail of resort apparel,” say owners Kitzi Purugganan-Roxas, Tin Magsaysay-Matic and Olivia Olalia-Guzman.

The brand name was chosen precisely for its meaning, which is a surfer’s collection of surfboards of different lengths and thickness that allows him to get the best ride for different kinds of waves. “Our line offers different-sized women different styles of beachwear, allowing them to always look their beach-babe best.”
I like Quiver for its playful, comfortable and fashion-forward designs. And, it’s quite popular with celebrities, too! All fabrics are sourced locally (save for the towels which are imported from China). Actually, the brand’s soon-to-be released beach blanket series are all made from textiles coming from a loom weaving community in La Paz, Abra. In addition, each piece in the collection is a limited edition-only release. “We do not mass produce. We want our customers to feel special when they wear our label.”
