DAVAO CITY—Tapang at Malasakit Alliance of the Philippines opened their first office here which it said will serve as the address of the core group that aims to help the current administration to push the “ultimate reform for change.”

The Tapang at Malasakit is headed by President Rodrigo Duterte’s eldest Daughter, Sara, and Taguig Mayor Lani Cayetano, wife of Foreign Affairs Secretary Peter Alan Cayetano and Duterte’s running mate during the presidential election, along with other board of other members who shows strong support for the Duterte administration.

Sara said that the Tapang at Malasakit is not a government funded organization, though Davao City and Taguig City is associated with the group due to her and Cayetano’s involvement.

“This office is run by private individuals, supporters of President Duterte. The only link of Tapang at Malasakit to Davao and Taguig City is me and Mayor Lani because we are both mayors of the two cities, but we are not working here as a mayor,” Sara said.

The Tapang at Malasakit will link private individuals who aim to help the present administration like the rehabilitation of Marawi and other areas such as Biliran and Leyte said Sara.

The Davao City Mayor explained that there are many private individuals who would like to help the Duterte administration in different ways, yet they do not have any means to reach out to the president, the reason why they created the Tapang at Malasakit.

“The alliance is to create one direction for all the supporters of President Duterte, now, we are working with the Task Force Bangon Marawi, we are asking them what can the private sector provide to fill in the gap that the private sector can provide,” she said.

Last month, the group visited Marawi City bringing with them school supplies given to the kids of Marawi that they can use for their studies.

Before the year ends, the group will once again visit Marawi to look into the needs of the city after the over 5 months of battle against the ISIS inspired Maute group.

Individuals who also wish to donate for the victims of Urduja and Vinta in Visayas and Mindanao respectively may drop their donations at the office of Tapang at Malasakit located at Matina Town Square this City.
