Manila Mayor Isko Moreno will push for infrastructure projects in provinces considering it will likely have a higher return than in developing the same projects in Metro Manila.

"A peso spent in Metro Manila will never give us much economically, but the same peso spent in the provinces will give us more in terms of return," Moreno said during his visit to Iloilo.

Moreno said if elected, Filipinos can expect more projects, particularly in provinces that are behind in terms of development.

"You will see more development because I've been going around the country, and I'm happy that in some provinces, there is enough infrastructure development," he said.

"But most provinces need more development whether it is in irrigation, farming, agriculture, fishery or any other industry."

Moreno also emphasized that infrastructure projects under his term will be executed speedily just as he did when he led the construction of the Mega COVID-19 Field Hospital in Manila, completed in just 52 days.

"Hindi naman kailangan matapos ang termino ng isang presidente bago matapos 'yung tulay," he said.

The Manila Mayor said that apart from his own proposed program, he plans to continue ongoing projects under the current administration's Build, Build, Build program.

"I've been saying that whatever our President Duterte has been doing regarding Build, Build, Build, 'yun ay itutuloy natin," he said.

"Nasimulan na, nakakapanghinayang naman sa ating tax payer's money kung ititigil."

As for Moreno, he will bring his "Tao Muna" brand in his version of Build, Build, Build as it seeks to create more hospitals, housing, schools, businesses, and jobs.
