Caloocan, Navotas resume cash aid

The distribution of ECQ cash assistance in the cities of Caloocan and Navotas from the national government continued Thursday.

According to Caloocan Mayor Oca Malapitan, the city government continued to expedite the distribution of this aid from the national government for families affected by the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ).

“In the next few days, we will increase our payout sites in various barangays so that it will reach the beneficiaries as soon as possible,” Malapitan said.

Meanwhile, house-to-house distribution of food packs from the funds and initiative of the Caloocan City Government is still ongoing.

Under the mayor’s directive, this aid is targeted to reach all families throughout the city.

“I know that almost all of us are affected by the re-implementation of ECQ. We want to reach out to all citizens as much as we can, we are distributing the aid to every household, this is from our local government, “said Malapitan.

Meanwhile, 4,627 families with a total of 10,988 family members were given financial assistance by the Navotas City government.

Up to P10.988 million was distributed by Navotas from the national government.

According to Mayor Toby Tiangco, the distribution of cash aid is now at Brgy. Bagumbayan – North. He also reminded Navotenos to follow the health protocols when and practice social distancing in going to the payout venues.
