The diagnostic kit is developed by Singapore-based biotechnology company Veredus Laboratories that specializes in developing portable diagnostic tool kits.
This saliva-based kit, which has received the approval of the Food and Drug Administration of the Philippines and has also been approved for use in Singapore, Indonesia, and Thailand, can also detect the new strains of Covid-19 (SARS-CoV-2) that has been reported in the United Kingdom, South Africa, and Brazil.
MyEG is introducing this game-changing approach, where people can be tested either in the safety of their homes or in the confines of their workplace.
This is more convenient, efficient, and far less invasive than conventional methods without compromising accuracy, to enable more people to be tested, the company said.
