‘No-take’ policy enforced on Central Luzon cops

Camp Olivas, Pampanga—Central Luzon police director BGen Valeriano De Leon reiterated Monday his “no take policy” for all illegal activities, including the unlawful numbers game jueteng, as he warned his subordinates of drastic action should they be found receiving money from gambling operators in the region.

De Leon said no one among his personnel have been permitted to use his name in exchange for money from illegal sources.

“Not under my watch. I will not tolerate any of my personnel who will be involved in any form of illegal activity particularly in receiving bribes from illegal gambling and other similar activities,” said De Leon in a statement.

He said the campaign against illegal gambling “remains among the priorities under my leadership. As proof, hundreds of suspects engaged in illegal gambling have been arrested and huge amount of cash as bets was confiscated.”

The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) is maximizing its efforts to put a stop all illegal activities especially gambling and illegal numbers game in the region as mandated by the higher police headquarters.

“I never allow somebody to use my name for them to operate their illegal business or to collect for me. Whoever would dare use my name will be arrested immediately,” De Leon said.

PRO3 continues to mount full-scale operations against illegal gambling and strictly imposes the full force of the law as it steps up on its campaign against all forms of lawlessness to minimize criminality in every locality.
