Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte, along with Kilusang Kontra COVID (KilKoVid), on Thursday spearheaded a convention dubbed “BIG BANG CONVENTION, “Dagdag Kaalaman, Wastong Paraan—Para COVID Labanan.”
While guest speakers were present at the venue, the other participants watched the event through livestreaming on Facebook and YouTube.
Various speakers, led by Belmonte, shared their professional knowledge and experience on the various topics consistent with KilKoVid’s goals of “Kaligtasan, Kalusugan & Kabuhayan.”
Belmonte tackled the city government’s various initiatives that have helped them gain ground in the campaign against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Interior Secretary Eduardo Año provided updates on the national government’s initiatives on COVID-19, while former Department of Information and Communication Technology undersecretary Eliseo Rio would talk about ICT and COVID-19 response.
The city government has entered a partnership with the KilKoVid alliance to involve various groups and the private sector in the fight against the virus.
