The Quezon City government has already completed the special amelioration program payout, and returned the funds for redistribution to other qualified families.
“As of today (Wednesday), we have fulfilled the 100 percent payout to 377,584 families,” city administrator Michael Alimurung said.
At least P3.02 billion have been distributed to the qualified households, he added.
Some P23.5 million have been returned by the residents who have already received financial assistance from the Social Security System, Department of Labor and Employment or Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).
“The amount is being redistributed to eligible families in the waitlist,” Alimurung said.
