Starting today (March 16), the Navotas City Government will implement a four-day workweek in line with the President’s declaration of a state of public health emergency.

Mayor Toby Tiangco said the compressed work schedule is part of the city’s efforts to promote social distancing and help prevent the spread of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).

However, he assured the public that the NavoServe Social Services One-Stop Shop will remain open from Monday to Friday, 8AM to 5PM.

“We understand that securing medical assistance and guarantee letters is crucial. In this time of crisis, Navoteños, especially those who have less in life, can rest assured that they will get the help and assistance they need from our government,” he said.

Memorandum Order No. TMT 2020-0151 stated that frontline services will remain available from Monday to Friday. Employees will work on a shifting schedule and will be required to render 10 hours of work per day for four days.
