The City Government of Navotas bagged another citation for good governance and exemplary service.

Navotas is among the seven local government units in the Philippines that received the Accelerating Reforms for Improved Service Efficiency (ARISE) Award from the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA).

Mayor John Rey Tiangco, together with Vice Mayor Tito Sanchez, received the award from Secretary Ernesto Perez and Undersecretary Gerald Divinagracia during the fifth anniversary celebration of ARTA at The Manila Hotel, Monday.

“This recognition is the outcome of the collaborative efforts of all city government offices. We especially commend our electronic Business One-Stop-Shop (eBOSS) and Information and Communications Technology Office staff for continuously developing our digital system and simplifying all processes for Navoteño taxpayers,” Tiangco said.

“This award validates all our hard work and challenges us to do more to improve the lives of our constituents,” he added.

Navotas is commended for its full compliance to the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018 particularly on the implementation of the eBOSS.

Through the city’s eBOSS facility, Navoteño businesses can apply, renew, and pay for their permits within the comfort of their own offices.

Aside from the issuance of the electronic version, hard copy of permits are also delivered to their respective addresses through in-house couriers.

The city’s eBOSS system also provide updates through text messages to help business owners and entrepreneurs track their transactions.

Last March, Navotas also received a certification from ARTA for being one of the six LGUs in Metro Manila with an efficient, systematic, and fully-operational eBOSS.
