Caloocan, church youth unite for village cleanup

The City Government of Caloocan, led by Mayor Oscar Malapitan, joined in a cleanup drive organized by the Church of God ASEZ, a university student volunteer group of the World Mission Society of God.

Students from University of Caloocan City volunteered during the cleanup drive in barangays 135, 136, 137, and 140.

“I am very much thankful to such efforts and initiative of private organizations organized for the benefit of our city and constituents,” Malapitan said.

Volunteers used cleaning materials provided by the City Government of Caloocan. Plastic bottles, soda cans and other biodegradable trash were collected.

“I am inspired by these students. It is even the young blood who are ready to inspire the leaders of the government and the local communities. You are a group that keeps your words,” said Councilor Marilou Nubla, who also attended the event.

Also present during the cleanup drive were barangay captains, policemen, students from other cities, and other force multipliers.
