Las Piñas City Mayor Mel Aguilar recently lauded the winners of 2018 Gawad Sikhay of the Division of City Schools-Las Piñas for their exemplary service and commitment to education.
Gawad Sikhay recognizes the outstanding services of school administrators, teachers, and non-teaching staff of Department of Education-Las Piñas.
The awarding capped the celebration of National Teachers’ Month by the Division of City Schools of Las Piñas City.
According to Aguilar, “the practices of the winners of Gawad Sikhay should be emulated because these are models of outstanding commitment to their profession.”
The mayor was assisted during the awarding ceremony by Dr. Loreta B. Torrecampo, CESO V (Schools Division Superintendent- Las Piñas City), Dr. Violeta M. Gonzales (Asst. Schools Division Superintendent), and Mrs. Eugenia V. Guerra (Chief, School Governance Operation Division).
