Makati Mayor Abby Binay has encouraged residents and non-residents of the city seeking employment to participate in the Mega Job Fair to be held at Glorietta 3 Activity Center on June 7 from 10 am to 8 pm, as part of the events lined up for ‘Makati Makisalo’ festival marking the city’s 348th foundation day.
Binay said the Makati Public Employment Service Office has confirmed around 50 participating companies in the job fair, organized in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment and Ayala Land, Inc.
“Makatizens and non-residents are welcome to join the job fair this Thursday. We are expecting around 50 companies to be there to offer employment opportunities for jobseekers. We have also invited some government agencies to provide pre-employment services,” the mayor said.
Binay also said the city government has been regularly conducting an in-house job fair every Wednesday at PESO at the 5th floor of Makati City Hall Main Building, in line with her administration’s thrust to create more employment opportunities.
“We will continue to pursue the creation of more job opportunities for our residents through partnerships with Makati-based companies and industries,” she vowed.
The Mega Job Fair theme for the year is “Disenteng Trabaho at Maunlad na Pangkabuhayan, Handog ng Lungsod at ng PESO.”
According to PESO, participating companies include Ablebodies Manpower Services, Absolute Sales Inc., Andok’s Litson, Asiapro Cooperative, Ayala Malls Inc., Bench (Suyen Corp.), Burlington Industries, Citiworks Manpower Resources Corp., Dames International, Eperformax, Fieldmen Janitorial Services Corp., Goldilocks, Hi-Precision Diagnostic Corp., JTC Group of Companies, Mirof Resources, Inc., North Asia Central Manpower Services Inc., and the Philippine Survey Research Center (PSRC).
Other job fair participants include Receivers & Liquidators, Reliable Workforce & General Services, RRJ-Rough Ryders Jeans (Emerald Garments Manufacturing), Rustan’s Supercenter Inc. (RSCI), Services Resources, Inc. (SRI), Skycable, The French Baker, Topserve Service Solutions, Inc., Nail-A-Holics, Breadtalks Phils., Pru Life UK, McDonalds, Max’s Group of Companies, Serenitea, Robinsons Retail Holdings Inc., CMG Retail Inc., and Dunkin Donuts.
Completing the list of participating companies are Yoshinoya/Goodah, Rufo’s Famous Tapa, Cosmotech Phil., Inc., Victoria Court Malate Group, Access Labor Services Cooperative, It Corea Inc., Medical Supply Inc., Asiawide Human Resources & Consultancy Corp., Tencentech Inc., Northpark Noodle House, MDS Call Solution Inc., Finex Marketing Services, HMR Phils Inc., More Than Jobs.com.ph, Eastwest Placement Center Inc., and Jobsglobal.com Employment Services.
Among the government agencies that will be there to extend their services to job applicants during the activity are the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, Pag-Ibig, PhilHealth, and Social Security System.
After the mega job fair, the city government still has several events lined up to commemorate its 348th founding anniversary, including the Miss Makati Coronation Night on June 9 at Circuit Makati, and the Grand Salu-Salo on June 10 at Lawton Street.
