The Quezon City Council has authorized Mayor Herbert M. Bautista to acquire through negotiated sale a parcel of land for the development of an onsite Socialize Housing Project for Informal Settlers Families in Barangay Baesa.
The area identified as lot 1023-B, PSD-38414 in Barangay Baesa, consists of about 2,000 square meters. The land was covered by Transfer Certificate of Title (TCT) no. 004-2017005888 registered under Francisco C. Reyes and spouse Benilda.
City Resolution 7185-2017, introduced by Councilor Marivic Co-Pilar, is expected to benefit around 102 ISFs presently occupying the property.
The task force on Socialized Housing and Development of Blighted Areas said it aims to provide affordable and decent housing to informal settlers in Quezon City.
