Fifteen young Navoteños with exemplary talents in arts may now study for free following the launching of the Navotas city government’s art scholarship program.

Mayor John Rey Tiangco led the launching during the 2nd Navoteño Film Festival, held in celebration of the 10th cityhood anniversary of Navotas.

“We want the youth of Navotas to explore and hone their talents and be able to excel in their chosen field. This is why we constantly seek for programs that will empower them and help fulfill their potential,” Tiangco said in his speech.

Under the revised executive order on the NavotaAs Scholarship Program, three high school or college students will be chosen for each category including visual arts, music, dancing, theatre arts, and creative writing or journalism.

Those who want to avail the scholarship will undergo screening set by the NavotaAs Scholarship Program Committee.
