Davao First District Representative Paolo “Pulong” Duterte distributed rice and cash aid to 92 porters at the Davao International Airport on Wednesday who are affected by the ongoing coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
The office of the Davao First District Representative has been providing assistance to the residents and workers of the district at the onset of the pandemic and the airport porters – who are responsible in assisting travelers.
One porter – identified as Victor Daplen — expressed his gratitude to the younger Duterte for the assistance as the food and cash aid will be able to support his family’s current basic needs.
Meantime, Oscar Gabriel – a High Airlifter Service Corporation supervisor — echoed the same sentiment and stressed that the pandemic has ultimately affected the schedule and their work.
The office of Representative Duterte has been giving both cash and in-kind assistance to its constituents.
