The whole slate of Mayor Arlene was also there to support her. They have filed their COCs separately earlier this week.

The Team Arcillas vying for the 2022 elections consists of her brother Arnold B. Arcillas as Vice Mayor; and Ma. Theresa C. Aala, Jose Joel L. Aala, Sonia U. Algabre, Manuel G. Alipon, Laudemer A. Carta, Ina Clariza B. Cartagena, Wilfredo A. Castro, Mythor C. Cendaña, Roy M. Gonzales, Rodrigo B. Malapitan, Relly M. Medina and Antonio M. Tuzon Jr. as City Councilors.

Mayor Arlene was accompanied by her daughter Monica Gabrielle Nazareno. who also filed for candidacy for ALONA partylist. Also present were Rep. Dan Fernandez of the First District of Laguna and his son, Danzel Fernandez.

Mayor Arlene has been in public service for many years.  She became Kabataang Barangay Federation President of then town of Santa Rosa in 1984; elected senior Councilor in 2004, elevated to City Vice Mayor in 2005, and assumed as OIC Mayor in 2006. In 2007, she was elected as the first lady Mayor and the first elected City Mayor of the City of Santa Rosa since its conversion into a city in 2004. She served for three consecutive terms.

In the 2016 Elections, she ran unopposed and was elected as the Representative of the First District of Laguna. She came back to serve her hometown Santa Rosa once again as its City Mayor after winning the 2019 Elections.

The City of Santa Rosa, under her term, had been transformed from a booming investment hub in the region into one of the most progressive cities in the country to date. Still she does not push aside the balance between economic growth and sustainability of resources.

During his term as Vice Mayor in 2016, Arnold Arcillas gained the City Council an award. The Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City of Santa Rosa was recognized as the 1st Runner Up in the Provincial Level of the 2018 Local Legislative Awards for its exemplary performance in service as a legislative body of the City. The award was given by the Department of Interior and Local Governance on November 26, 2018.

With her team by her side, Mayor Arlene will continue to practice her brand of participative governance with the help of the people she serves, and this is all encapsulated in her slogan “Serbisyong Makatao, Lungsod na Makabago."
