Santa Rosa to spend P300 million, Binan P150 million for coronavirus cure

Santa Rosa, Laguna—Mayor Arlene B. Arcillas announced that the City Government of Santa Rosa has allocated an initial amount of P300 million for the procurement of the COVID-19 vaccine.

According to Mayor Arlene, she will be coordinating with National Task Force (NTF) for Coronavirus Disease-2019 chief implementer Carlito Galvez Jr. on the roll-out of the LGU’s vaccination program.

“We will follow the guidelines of the NTF,” she said, adding that the city government has its own proposal that they will send to the national task force.

Binan City Mayor Arman Dimaguila also allocated up to P150 million for the COVID-19 vaccine.

“Ang vaccination program ng City of Biñan ay magkakaroon ng prioritization system na uunahin ang mga medical frontliners at iba pang mga grupo na high risk at mataas ang chance of exposure sa COVID-19,” Dimaguila said.
