Angeles City”•Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. expressed his gratitude to the members of Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) headed by their Executive Minister Eduardo V. Manalo for donating 5,000 relief packs to the residents of Barangay Ninoy Aquino on Saturday here.
“Labis po akong nagpapasalamat sa 5,000 na food packs na ipinagkaloob po [nila] sa ating mga kababayan dito sa Barangay Ninoy Aquino bilang bahagi ng programa ng INC na Lingap sa Mamamayan (Aid to Humanity),” Lazatin said as the city was chosen as the program recipient.
The mayor called this is a huge blessing for the city to be one of the recipients of the Lingap sa Mamamayan program of the INC, through the Felix Y. Manalo Foundation, which has been running worldwide for more than three decades.
“Isang napakalaking biyaya po ang ibinahagi po ng ating Mahal na Kapatid na Eduardo Manalo at ng buong Iglesia Ni Cristo dito sa ating syudad,” he said.
“Amid the pandemic we are facing,” Lazatin added, “it is commendable that there are programs from religious sectors which will aid people in need.”
“Napakalaking tulong po nito sa aming mga kababayan lalo na po ngayong panahon ng pandemya at krisis,” he stated.
On behalf of the residents of the city and his family, Lazatin also wishes Executive Minister Eduardo V. Manalo a healthy and long life on his birthday.
He added: “Sa ngalan po ng aking pamilya at ng buong Syudad Ng Angeles, binabati ko po ng isang Maligayang Kaarawan ang ating mahal na Kapatid na Eduardo V. Manalo.”
“Sana po ay biyayaan kayo ng pinaka mainam na kalusugan at ng mahabang buhay ng ating Amang Diyos,” he said.
