‘Efficient’ construction of Bataan road hailed

Orani, Bataan—Residents in the area and local newsmen alike described as “efficient” the ongoing construction of Mulawin-Tala Road in Orani town.

Department of Public Works and Highways First District Engineer Erlindo “Boying” Flores Jr. told newsmen the 3.332-kilometer-project started in February 2020 and has a target date to finish by April 10, 2021.

The district engineer said the project is 65 percent completed as of September 15 and noted the road may be finished earlier that the target date.

Local newsmen who took photos saw well-equipped and well-manned construction at the project site.

“Kumpleto sa equipment at yung tao sobra-sobra pa yata”, observed Jun Bringula of DWIZ, one of the newsmen who took photos.

Newsmen later learned the contractor of the project was Rocksteel Construction and Development Corporation.

Upland Tala is now a famous tourist destination with several farm resorts and retreat parks such as Sinagtala Farm Resort and Retreat Park—owned by a corporation headed by former SBMA chairman Felicito C. Payumo—apart from Vista Tala and Little Baguio.
