Samal, Bataan—The Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) recently conducted training on backyard composting using Compost Fungus Activator (CFA) for 25 residents of Barangay Palili here.

Dr. Hermogenes Paguia, BPSU Vice President for Research, Extension, and Training Services, served as resource speaker for the one-day activity.

The training was conducted under the BPSU Abucay Campus Extension and Training Services Office (ETSO) headed by its Chairperson and University Vice President Dr. Rina Paguia, in partnership with the barangay government of Palili.

ETSO Chairperson Paguia said the training was aimed to equip household participants with the detailed knowledge on backyard composting using CFA and was in line with the thrust of BPSU President Dr. Greg Rodis to help host communities by conducting trainings and extension works.

Rodis has been urging Bataan folk to do backyard vegetable farming as source of food during the COVID-19 pandemic.
