The San Fernando City government in Pampanga recently launched its “Isang Guro, Isang Barangay” project.

Mayor Vilma Balle-Caluag and the City College of San Fernando, Pampanga  (CCSFP)  administration led the launch.

By 2028, Caluag envisions that every barangay in the city will have at least one professional teacher.

Apart from the free tertiary education, the beneficiaries of the “Isang Guro, Isang Barangay” project will be eligible for scholarship grants including one from the project partner North American University in Texas, USA, the local government said.

Caluag said the project also aims to get at least one CCSFP student from all 35 barangays of San Fernando to take any of the five college education specializations  program: Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, and the three areas of the Secondary Education (English, Mathematics, and Science).

Apart from the free tertiary education, the beneficiaries of the “Isang Guro, Isang Barangay” project will be eligible  for scholarship grants including one from the project partner North American University in Texas, USA.

Caluag also announced barangays with the highest number of education graduates will also be given awards.
