UST Law Alumni Foundation Honors Mamba with Award of Distinction

For epitomizing commitment, competence and dedication in their personal life and professional practice which are hallmarks of the Catholic and Thomasian identity, Mayor William N. Mamba was conferred the honor of Distinction Award by the University of Santo Tomas Law Alumni Foundation Inc. (USLTAFI), through the UST Faculty of Civil Law.

Mamba was recognized for his “sterling leadership” as the chief executive anew of the bustling town of Tuao, Cagayan and dogma on Good governance as Outstanding Thomasian Alumni Award of Distinction on the 288th Foundation Anniversary of the Faculty of Civil Law and 2022 Alumni Reunion on December 3, 2022.

The alumni association cited Mamba for having demonstrated the Thomasian brand of excellence in his field and sincere commitment to serve God and the populace through a stalwart observance to the Thomasian core values.


The foundation officials, led by their president Atty. Maria Elena Go Francisco and Committee on Awards chairperson retired Sandiganbayan Justice Teresita Diaz-Baldos, personally handed over the award to Mamba at the Centennial Hall, Manila Hotel.

The Outstanding Thomasian Alumni Award is the highest honor bestowed by the University of Santo Tomas (UST) and the UST Alumni Association, Inc. (USTAAI) upon the Thomasian Alumni, in recognition of their outstanding career achievements, leadership in the professions and noteworthy public service and exemplary contribution to the society and the Church.
