CAMP BGEN VICENTE P LIM, Calamba City – Brig Gen Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. took the helm of leadership on Monday after he assumed his post as the new Regional Director of Police Regional Office CALABARZON replacing Brig Gen Antonio Yarra in a turnover ceremony at Bigkis-Lahi Event Center here presided over by Philippine National Police Chief Gen Rodolfo S Azurin Jr.
Nartatez acknowledged the achievements of his predecessors for making the PRO CALABARZON the most recognized and progressive region in the whole country.
He asked for the cooperation and support of all the PRO 4A personnel as he took the leadership of the Regional Office. He emphasized the importance of accountability and command responsibility in every police operation in every Police Station.
Yarra expressed his gratitude for the time he spent with the men and women of PRO4A while leading the regional command towards its goal to make CALABARZON region the safest place in the entire country.
He presented the significant accomplishments and successful projects that were made possible with the help of the responsive community and other uniformed personnel counterparts.
The Chief PNP congratulated both the incoming and the outgoing Regional Director while reiterating his peace and security program dubbed as Malasakit, Kaayusan, Kapayapaan tungo sa Kaunlaran or the MKK=K in the performance of the mandated duty as a police officer.
He also expressed his gratitude to the stakeholders and community that continuously support the plans and programs of the PNP.
He further emphasized the significance of the “Kasimbayanan” (Kapulisan, Simbahan at Pamayanan) which focused on the Spiritual and Moral enhancement of PNP Personnel towards the attainment of the PNP Mission and Vision.
Prior to his designation, Nartatez served as the Director of Finance Service at NHQ. He is a member of the Philippine Military Academy ‘Tanglaw-Diwa’ Class of 1992.
He is a multi-talented, skilled, responsible leader and an achiever who led the PNP Services as the Best National Administrative Support Unit in the last 121st Police Service Anniversary held at the National Headquarters, Camp BGen Rafael T Crame, Quezon City.
Nartatez expressed his gratitude to the leadership of the PNP organization.
“As your new Regional Director, I will continue the plans and programs that promote the welfare and development of every police personnel of PRO 4A. I accept this position as a challenge so that I will perform my duties and obligation in my full capacity,” he said.
“I am expecting that you will also do your best to serve the public so we can gain their trust and support towards the attainment of peace and progress in our region,” the police general added.
