TUGUEGARAO CITY — The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Region 02 held a benchmarking activity for various S&T-funded projects under the Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program (SETUP), Community Empowerment through Science and Technology (CEST), and Grant-in-Aid (GIA) in Regions 1, 3, 4A and the National Capital Region here.

To improve the implementation of the science and technology programs and projects in Cagayan Valley Region, DOST R02 staff conducted interviews and onsite inspections at the projects being supervised by the host DOST Regional Offices.

The benchmarking aimed to identify areas, systems, or processes for improvement and to help understand how the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in different regions implement the program.

This aims to help DOST Region 02 personnel in strategizing procedures, plans, and activities to address the S&T needs of the clients, their capabilities, and contribution to the expansion of Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) in Cagayan Valley, the office said in a statement.
