P80-m Isabela townhall soon to rise

San Agustin, Isabela—Rep. Allysa Sheena Tan of the 4th District of Isabela, Mayor Cesar Mondala, Vice Mayor Mark Guerrero and the Sangguniang Bayan Members spearheaded the groundbreaking ceremony of the municipal edifice here on July 26.

The 3,000 sq. m. three story building will cost P80 million, local and Department of Public Works and Highways officials said.

Tan expressed gratitude to Mayor Mondala with the Municipal Council for the chance to grace the simple ceremony.

“I will be working hand in hand with your local chief executive (Mayor Mondala) for the development and advancement of your locality in as much that San Agustin town with the villagers is so close to my heart.

“If it needs be, I will even be asking for the support of Governor Rodolfo ‘Rodito’ T. Albano III just to facilitate every programs and projects that will help in the progress of your town and worth beneficial to all.”

Meanwhile, Mondala emphasized that with the erection of a modern municipal hall soon, we will have a One-Stop Shop in a roof to cater the services of the government to the townspeople.

“It will be a three – storey building with an initial fund of 10-million with no target of completion since it will be done phase by phase thru the assistance of good hearted Senators, Party list and provincial government of Isabela Governor Rodito Albano and our very own Congresswoman Sheena Tan,” the mayor said.

Meanwhile, Vice Mayor Mark Guerrero reiterated that through the synergy effort of the Legislative body they will fully support the programs of Mayor Mondala towards a progressive locale.

We are so much blessed to have with us Cong woman Sheena Tan, BM Abegail Sable, BM Clliford Raspado, SK Federation President, District Representative, District 4 Jojit Alexis Arana, PNP personnel, Brgy. Officials and the Department heads to witness this momentous occasion, he added.

United Methodist Church Rev. Pastor Emmanuel Palacay officiated the blessing of the groundbreaking followed by the opening remarks of SB William Alejandro, Chairman on Infrastructure citing an overview of the Municipal Hall.

The Municipal hall will be a three-storey building, high-tech and a modern one considering the erection of an elevator, also to be the first municipality to have in District 4. The 3rd floor will serve as the office of the mayor, DPWH Architect Jose Bauaya said.

Mondala said, the on-going Farm-to-Market roads project of Mayor Mondala at Barangay Berguneza will soon near completion and also the road widening at the Poblacion will ease and safeguard the motorist.

Lined-up syllabus of the LGU includes the 193-million; bridge that will link Barangay Sinaongan Norte, Sinaongan Sur, Palacian at Salay next year will be realized, Potable water System to cater other barangays as well. These, apart from the continued services for the San Agustinians.

“We will have the continuity of Social services for our townspeople and programs, projects that will help them in their livelihood and be beneficial to them, Mayor Mondala disclosed.”
