Limay, Bataan”•Permanent employees of the Limay municipal government whose services were terminated by Mayor Ver Roque are seeking relief from the Civil Service Commission.

According to Lauro Galicia, municipal agricultural center chief and one of the 124 terminated workers, they received a letter signed by the mayor dated Jan. 23 this year, relieving them from work effective Feb. 22, saying their positions were already abolished due to reorganization.

Some of the dismissed workers petitioned with the CSC Region 3 office, questioning the legality and correctness of the order pertaining to civil service rules and regulations.

However, Roque or any representative of his did not appear in the scheduled hearing on Tuesday at the CSC regional office in San Fernando City, Pampanga.
