PCSO fetes 200 Isabela families

About 200 families in Santiago City, Isabela had a merrier Christmas this year, thanks to the generosity of the Fairways Management and Gaming Corporation, the Authorized Small Town Lottery Agent of Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office.

“We initially planned this as relief operations. Remember, four towns in Isabela Province particularly San Guillermo, Jones, Echague, San Agustin, and Santiago City were hammered by Typhoon ‘Rosita’ last October. But due to lack of time, we resorted to gift giving to make it a happier Christmas for our folks in Santiago City,” revealed PCSO general manager Alexander Balutan.

The gift giving led by FMGC was in collaboration with PCSO Isabela Branch Office led by Manager Yamashita Japinan and supported by Heherson Pambid and Byron Joseph Bumanglag, branch managers of Cagayan and Nueva Vizcaya, respectively.

FMGC is one of the 82 ASAs of PCSO that conducts charity services among the gaming public, including their sales agents.

“The ASAs don’t just contribute to the agency’s overall revenue, they also give back by conducting charity services for the people, especially the gaming public. This time, FMGC distributed 5 kilos of rice, canned goods, and noodles per household to more than 200 families. All ASAs should act like this,” noted Balutan.

Of the P56-billion gross sales of PCSO for the month of January to November, P29.92 billion came from Lotto and digit games, STL at P21.97 billion (Jan. to Oct. only), Keno at P4.14 billion, and Instant Sweepstakes at P958.36 million.

While many people are trying to discredit STL’s contribution to the PCSO’s gross sales, it is very evident STL is the second highest earning product of the agency next to Lotto and digit games.

“Figures don’t lie and we will do everything to protect STL,” said Balutan.
