BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya—Local officials of Dupax del Norte town have offered 70 pigs for their “Lechonan sa Bayan” in a bid to strengthen unity and peace in the municipality.
Mayor Timothy Cayton said the “Lechonan” is part of their 287th Founding Anniversary celebration with the theme: “Timpuyog nga Ital-o ken Nadaras: Dupax del Norte Dur-as!” (Promote and Raise our unity for the development of Dupax del Norte).
“This is one of the activities for our founding anniversary wherein we offer roasted pigs for visitors and our villagers to partake and enjoy,” he said. Ben Moses Ebreo
Cayton said other activities for their weeklong fiesta celebration were Fun Run, Fun Bike and Mountain Bike Challenge, Pre-Pageant, Spiritual Night, Spiritual Night , Grand Parade, DepEd Day, Barangay, Family and Awards Night, Thanksgiving Mass, Mass Wedding, Search for Saniata ti Dupax del Norte, Farmers Day, Family Day and Variety Show.
