MALACAÑANG has declared Thursday, March 22 as a special non-working holiday in the province of Cavite in observance of the 149th birth anniversary of the country’s first president, General Emilio Aguinaldo.
The proclamation was signed on March 9 by Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea based on Proclamation No. 446 by authority of President Rodrigo Duterte.
The non-working day declaration was posted at the Cavite provincial government website and 23 cities and towns government websites.
Cavite Day or Aguinaldo Day is traditionally celebrated with families and friends in simple ceremonies at the Aguinaldo Shrine in Barangay Kaingen, Kawit.
