General Trias unveils new school building building Buildings And Disaster Management Center.

GENERAL TRIAS, Cavite”•City officials led by Mayor Antonio “Ony” Ferrer and Rep. Luis “Jon Jon” Ferrer IV recently unveiled a four-storey, 20-classrooms building sponsored by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. for the Governor Luis Y. Ferrer II Senior High School in South Square Village in Pasong Kawayan Dos here.

The new building will address the classroom shortage in the city’s public educational system, city and Department of Education officials added.

Other city officials present were Vice Mayor Morit Sison, Provincial Board Members Kerby Salazar and Jango Grepo, and Councilors Jonas Labuguen, Nanding Granados, Gary Grepo, Pafoo Lozares, Mario Amante, Jowie Carampot, Walter Martinez, Christopher Custodio and Flor Ayos.

The GenTri local government is also rushing to complete a four-storey, right-classroom extension for the U-shaped Senior High campus pf the same school, which has a population of 1,650 students, according to Mercelita Javier, Principal of Ferrer II Senior High School.

Team GenTri also unveiled the two-storey building of the Manpower Development Center and another two-storey structure for the General Trias City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council at the same location.

Mayor Ferrer reiterated that the city government will also transfer the main Fire Station to the area while making it a better and bigger station for the fire trucks.

Also opened was a four-storey, 12-classroom building at the Governor Ferrer Memorial National High School Buenavista II Annex in Barangay Buenavista II.

A similar building is also being put up at the Santiago Elementary School and Livelihood and Training Center in Barangay Santiago.

All these government projects are being implemented by Department of Public Works and Highways Cavite 1st District Engineering Office.
