Segun is new Cavite provincial police chief

IMUS, Cavite—Senior Supt. William M. Segun is the new Cavite Provincial Police Director, assuming his post Monday as the new leader of the police in the seven cities and 16 municipalities of the province.

According to Cavite Police Public Information Officer Supt. Janet Arinabo, Segun is a member of the Philippine National Police Academy Batch 1995 and comes from a stint as Chief of Police of San Juan City. He replaced Senior Supt. Arthur Bisnar, now Chief of the Directorial Staff under the Quezon City Police District and National Capital Region Police Office.

Segun is not new to Cavite, being the former Chief of Police of Tagaytay City. He has also seen duty with the Philippine National Police Special Action Force and was part of the PNP group sent to the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Kosovo.

Calabarzon Regional Police Chief Supt. Ma. O R. Aplasca also announced the replacement of four Cavite acting chiefs of police, according to Arinabo.

Police Supt. Nerwin Ricohermoso replaced Police Supt. Egbert Tibayan as officer-in-charge of Trece Martires City Component City Police Station, and Police Supt. Fernando Ortega replaced Supt. Gil Torralba as Dasmariñas City acting police chief.

Supt. Giovanni S. Martinez succeeded Supt. Roderick Tonga as Cavite City acting police chief, while Supt. Ronan Claravall took over as Tagaytay City police chief, replacing Supt. Sancho Celedio.

Supt. Geovanny Sibalo also replaced Supt. Rodrigo Soriano as Cavite Police Public Safety Company commander.
